Overview of Texas Hold’em Poker

Origin
Texas Hold’em originally started in Robstown, Texas in the early 1900s. The game first came to Dallas, Texas, in 1925, and then spread to Las Vegas where its popularity grew.
The World Series of Poker (WSOP), a series of poker tournaments held annually in United States since 1970, adopted no-limit Texas Hold’em for its main event that significantly facilitated Texas Hold’em and brought it to a wider audience. The development of televised tournaments and online broadcast further boosted its popularity. Texas Hold’em is currently one of the most popular poker games and has fascinated players from all over the world by its feature of easy to learn but hard to master.

In Conquer Online, players enter the Poker Hall through the Market, or click the “Poker” button to join a match. The poker game uses a standard 52-card deck without Jokers, and is played by two to nine players at a single table. Each player is dealt two cards face down called hole cards, and then five community cards are dealt face up on the table in three rounds of betting. In the eventual showdown, players have to make the best five-card combination from these seven cards. The player with the best combination of cards wins the pot. To make the game more exciting, CO also unveiled its innovative Crazy mode that uses a 52-card deck without 2 to 6. That is to say, players will only get cards from 7 to A. Cheer up!
