Part 6

*Previously*

"Hey kid. Long time no see," he waved.

"...Jesse?"

Was I dreaming? Someone pinch me.

"Ow!" I yelled when the Trojan did what I thought. Did I speak my thoughts earlier?

"Sorry. Was that too hard?" she asked sarcastically. "And, no you weren't speaking aloud earlier."

I couldn't tell if she was lying or not. "What?" she asked. "Why are you staring at me like that?"

"I just didn't know if you were lying or not. How else would you have known what I was thinking?"

She leaned in close to whisper in my ear. I could smell her hair, such a natural sweet scent. Strands of it tickled my skin when a sudden breeze passed.

"I hear your thoughts, Theo." I hear your thoughts, my donkey. What total BS.

She leaned back and smiled. "Donkey? Can't you just say a**? Oh, I meant think a**." Before I had a chance to respond she ran to Jesse and they embraced. It lasted longer than was necessary for a greeting hug.

A strange feeling possessed me and I found myself wanting to hurt Jesse, who has been nothing but nice to me ever since we met. Okay, so I wasn't as close to him as I was to Griff, but still, this feeling was completely irrational. I was able to will it away when Jesse and the

Trojan girl released each other. She looked at me and smirked. For what, I didn't know. She ran back to me, with Jesse walking behind her.

She reached me in a second due to her Cyclone. I had never seen it before but from what Mrs. K told me, it seemed like the blue light that surrounded her was indeed Cyclone.

"I never took you for the jealous type, Theo," she whispered in my ear. Her scent...

"Aw, crap!" she exclaimed, frustrated. "I forgot to get that thing from the Blacksmith for you! If Mrs. K. doesn't get it, she is going to kill you!"

"Wait, what?!" How did she know Mrs. K?! This is horrible, we'll have to move somewhere else now to avoid getting killed. I'll probably have to shave my head and grow a beard so I won't be recognized.

She rolled her eyes. "You won't have to grow a beard, you idiot. And if you ever did I'd have to cut it off; you do not look good with facial hair. But we'll have to go back to the city to get whatever that Blacksmith is holding for us."

"Wait," I stopped her before she started to run. "How did you know about that?"

"I know a lot of things." I waited for her to continue, but she didn't.

So that's all she's going to tell me? I sighed frustrated and let it drop. I'll get it out of her later. "Won't they recognize us, Trojan? The guards I mean."

"Well yes, but that won't be a problem. When we walk through the city gates, nobody will bother us."
