[Tips] Setsuko's Weapon FAQ Part 1
Author: 03-31-2008 Views:

I was thinking that there was some things that I wanted to go a little more in dept for that I didn't have room for in my guide. This will be an all around weapon guide so that warriors/trojans/reborn melee water can get a little insight on what they could use. I will also include an idea of what they could cost. I will not give numbers as every server has different economies and prices vary from server to server. Here are my ratings so you are not lost:

Damage(Dmg): High, Mid, Average, Low

Dexterity(Dex): High, Average, Mid-Average, Low.

Lets start with two handed weapons in this part, and I'll explain one handed in the next part.

List of usable two-handed weapons: *Note: Two handed mostly have Mid-Average or Low Dex

Glaive, Poleaxe, Long Hammer, Spear, Wand, Halbert.

(Bow is two handed, but this is warrior/trojan/reborn melee water. Maybe next time Archers, I still got love for you.)

Glaive:

Skill Wide Strike: Range: 180 degrees Skill Damage: 90%-180% (10% per level increase) Activation: 20%-38% (2% per level

increase)Weapon Damage: Mid/Average Dex: Mid-Average

Glaive is an all around good weapon. Decent for Pking and leveling. As I explained in my warrior's guide, the damage on glaive is more focused to a particular range of damage, meaning that the you'll wind up hitting more around the middle of your attack power rather than the either the lower or higher end like some of the high/low damage weapons, Which is good for leveling. The price range can be fair and sometimes cheap.

Poleaxe:

Skill Boreas Range: 180 degrees Skill Damage: 90%-180% (10% per level increase) Activation: 20%-38% (2% per level increase)

Weapon Damage: High/Low Dex: Low

Poleaxe is one of those high/low damage weapons. They're ok for leveling (the higher the damage the more EXP you get.) It is

a good weapon to use when PKing. The only problem is the Low end of the damage. If you're lucky while PKing and hit your opponent with the high end of the damage, you could do some serious damage, and probably kill them, maybe even in one hit. If you are unlucky, and hit with the low end of the damage, you might look silly. Poleaxe is similiar to it's brother weapon Long Hammer. the other problem with this, that I explained in my warrior's guide, is that when you are supermaning, the low end of the damage  might not allow you to kill white/red named monsters in one hit, which could end your superman

prematurely. There is a risk of this happening with all weapons, but it is greater with high/low damage weapons. The price

range can be fair to expensive. Just keep an eye out for a good deal.

Long Hammer:

Skill Halt Range: Sector (but it appears to be 180 degrees) Skill Damage: 90%-180% (10% per level increase) Activation: 20%-38% (2% per level increase)

Weapon Damage: High/Low Dex: Low

Long Hammer is one of those high/low damage weapons. They're ok for leveling (the higher the damage the more EXP you get.) It is a good weapon to use when PKing. The only problem is the Low end of the damage. If you're lucky while PKing and hit your opponent with the high end of the damage, you could do some serious damage, and probably kill them, maybe even in one hit. If you are unlucky, and hit with the low end of the damage, you might look silly. Long Hammer is similiar to it's brother weapon Poleaxe. The other problem with this, that I explained in my warrior's guide, is that when you are supermaning, the low end of the damage  might not allow you to kill white/red named monsters in one hit, which could end your superman prematurely. There is a risk of this happening with all weapons, but it is greater with high/low damage weapons. The price range can be cheap to fair since long hammer is not a very common weapon. In contrast, long hammer could be very expensive due to the

rarity of finding a good one.

Spear:

Skill Speed Gun Range: Line Skill Damage: 100%-210% (10% and 15% alternating per level increase) Activation: 20%-47% (3% per level increase)

Weapon Damage: Mid/Average Dex: Mid-Average

Spear can be hands down the strongest weapon in the game. As you read, it's skill is unmatched with a whopping 210% more damage including it's 47% activation rate, which means that almost half the time you get hit with spear, you'll get hit with Speed Gun which makes it perfect for PKing. There's a couple of flaws to spear though. Speed Gun shoots in a line, making it not a great leveling weapon, and you have to get somewhat close-ranged. I say somewhat because two handed weapons have a longer range than one handed weapons. The damage on spear is the same as glaive, so you can expect results. Like I said in my guide, if you do see someone leveling with spear, it's probably not a good idea to screw around with them. If you stand at the right position in the TG, then you'll be able to hit two poles. The price on spears is actually surprising because it is possible to find them ranging from cheap to really expensive.

Wand:

Skill Snow Range: 360 degrees Skill Damage: L0-3 110% L4-8 140% L9 145% Activation: 20%-45% (3%per level increase)

Weapon Damage: High/Low Dex: Low

Wand is another High/low damage weapons, but the difference is that wand was built for leveling. Snow is similar to Rage.

The only difference is range. With Rage, you'll hit monsters that are attacking around you, and some monsters will just linger around try to get in to hit you, and they walk away. Since Wand is a two handed weapon, it has an increased range, meaning those monsters surrounding you and hitting you will get hit with snow as well as the chance to hit those lingering monsters that can't get in to hit you, allowing you to gain additional EXP. A huge plus for leveling. Wand isn't the greatest for PKing, but is usable. Snow can hit in a 360 diameter and then some. If you connect a successful Snow, and are surrounded by opponents, then there is a good chance they'll suffer damage as well. There is the problem with high/low damage I explained above, and you have to get close ranged. If you use the wrong body size for two handed weapons, then your jumping speed suffers too. The price on Wand can be expensive. Try to find a good deal if you want it, but always try for the closest to the lowest price on your server.

Halbert:

Skill Standed Monster: Range: 180 degrees Skill Damage: 131%-139% (1% per level increase) Activation: 20%-45% (3% per level increase)

Weapon Damage: Mid/Average Dex: Mid-Average

Halbert is sort of like a stronger version of Whip. Stranded Monster has high activation rate, and the damage is decent. The damage of Halbert is the same as Glaive and Spear. Like Glaive, you'll have a pretty good idea what kind of damage you'll do most of the time and how often. This is a great leveling weapon, but I wouldn't use it for PKing. Although it is decent enough to find off PKers so don't be scared to fight back. Halberts are usually very cheap making them ideal to get if you're looking for a  cheap good weapon to level fast with.
