Leveling
Its time to talk about leveling. I will break it down as best as I can.
Overview and tips
Warriors level amazingly fast due to Superman, the XP skill, and the new demon exterminator quest. Do not be surprised if you hear stories of warriors leveling to 60s, 70s, or even 80s in one day! I'm not one of them because I have a life XD.
Anyway if that's what you want to do then by all means insomniac, go for it!
It's best to go with the weapon that you received a weapon skill for in Birth Village until you can decide what you want. Who knows, maybe you'll get what you want right of the bat.
At anytime, you can get power-leveled. I suggest stopping at 40 if you're a shield wielder. If you're planning on being a 2hander,then wait till 57. At these levels mentioned you should be able to be self-reliant to fight monsters on your own. Just be sure that pick all the money you can.
Remember to always check the tips button every 5 levels. It tells you what white names and then what red named monsters you can fight. It also tells you things like when you can learn skills; upgrade weapons, reborn, etc.
If your feeling brave, you can travel to Bird Island and loot the money that are left behind by Archers. Be careful, these monsters will one hit kill you.Make sure that do not get super items. They are expensive, and take a ridiculous amount of mets to upgrade. If you find one while leveling, then sell it. Do not use it! Stop at Elite until you've gotten to second rebirth. It'll cost less money and mets in the long run!
Levels 1-26
There not much to say about these levels. With superman, it should be a brief period, fight white named monsters, and if you feel brave tackle red named monsters with superman. Pick up all the money/items that drops. ALL of it except coats and dresses. You can sell the items for cash, or if you find +1 items, or quality items, you can sell them for higher price. If you find yourself strapped for cash, sell the mets you get from monster exterminator, or go to the Twin City mines. Mine ores and sell them for money. Do not leave your miner unattended, as PKers are attracted to that mine as well as Pheonix Castle mine. Usually if you sell the mets you get from the monster killing quest, then you should be able to buy ref, uni, or maybe even elites if you find a good price.
Level 26-40
Again, these levels aren't particularly difficult. Continue to kill white named monsters, superman red named monsters if possible, picking up all items and money. At this time you should be able to buy a Skill book from the Pharmacist in the market. This is the time where you need to be deciding whether you want to be a shield wielder, or two handed wielder.
Most will choose shield because of the extra defense at this stage, and then go two handed at a higher level, which is probably a better strategy, but then there are those who like the challenge and do it anyway. Just make sure your helmet and armor are a high quality with some plus bonuses, you won't have a shield to boost you def/mdef.
Level 40-67
At 40, you can go back to Twin City and get a promotion to the next rank of warrior and you get a shield. (I think it's may be like normal, unique, or elite, I cannot remember.) If you are going two handed, then sell it, or keep it if you wind up switching one day. I still have a shield for when I'm tanking or fighting in metzone/advanced maps. This is when the monsters seem like they are getting a little tougher you use two handers. By this time you should have mostly ref, unique equipment, and maybe elite. Hopefully you've picked up a good quality weapon with some sockets too that you can put a gem or two in. There's a good chance that you've found some along the way. Maybe even a dragonball, who knows.
Continue to fight white named monsters, if you have a shield, you should be able to wrestle with red named a lot easier than without. Still be careful. Around level 50-60 somewhere you should be powerful enough to kill monsters on Pheonix castle map in one hit. Do some hunting if you get bored, or if you want to make some money, mine at the PC mines, be careful, it's almost like PKers have a home here, even though there's no gems to really gain anymore.
Level 67-85
Good old Desert City map. You'll find yourself here for a while. At this time, shield wielders should be able to fight red names with hardly any trouble at all, and two handers should be able to start fighting them. When you are level 82, white names should do no more than 1-40ish damage, which is nice, because then you have fewer potions to carry. If you haven't been doing the monster quest up until now, then you are probably insane.
Level 85-97
FINALLY! Probably the fastest leveling you'll experience next to labyrinth! At 85, you can go here with a shield, Two handers, bring some pots if you're feeling brave, there's a chance they can do anywhere from 1-100 damage until 87, then they should be doing 3, 2 or 1 damage. Bird Island has an extremely dense mob and spawn rate for Birdmen and Hawkings, which makes them ripe for the pickings with superman. Don't be afraid to form a team and power level some noobies yourself. The Virtue Points are the key to getting labyrinth (2000 required) There are usually a lot of archers here, farming water taos. Try to avoid them and superman away for 500-1000 KOs at a time! you will be past this map in no time at all. Take advantage of the monster quest here, 300 kills is easy. Do the quest 3 times and break for the day. Come back at midnight server time, or when you play again and do it 3 more times.
