Attention, players!
Lately, there have been scammers trying to use new tricks to steal your information through email, and we want to call your attention to these scam attempts.
The CO team has recently received many cases from our players, reporting that they've been hacked by some sort of "CO Account Issue Email". This is simply a tactic that the scammers are using to steal players' account information. The email falsely claims that your account is involved in a hack case, and warns that the account will be banned if you do not verify your information, then directs the recipient to complete a "Verification Form" linked to a fake website.
The CO team has already started looking into these cases, and we want to remind all players that for your best interests and to prevent unnecessary loss, please be VERY CAREFUL when handling these emails. If you have any question about an email you receive, or if you believe an email could be fake, do not reply back with any account information and report it to us, immediately.
Some useful tips for you to identify a scam letter:
- "POST-ONLY EMAIL, DO NOT REPLY" - Scammers put their email address in disguise, making it look exactly the same as TQ's official email; however, they will say that they require you to reply to another address.
- "PLEASE FILL YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION BY CLICK THE LINK" - Fake/ Scam site.
- "YOU ACCOUNT WILL BE BANNED IF YOU DO NOT PROVIDE THE FULL ACCOUNT INFORMATION"
- "CASE NUMBER: E602-3" - Never changes (Although this might change in future).
A few more things you need to be aware of (IMPORTANT):
- Please be sure to keep your email information safe on Facebook. The scammers might steal your email information from Facebook group.
- When handling an account issue, the CO team will first ban the account and then notify the players, asking them to provide any necessary account information. We'll NEVER ask our players to do so without putting a temporary hold on the account. This is for account security and to protect any items on the characters from theft.
- The CO team NEVER inserts any link in emails for players to verify their account.
- The CO team NEVER sends unsolicited e-mails asking players to provide their email password or detailed personal information.
- The CO team will indicate in the email the specific character name that is involved in a case, while the scammers will not as they don't have that information.
- The following are the official addresses. Please ONLY reply to these email addresses:
- nd.com.cn
- conqueronline.com
- mx.mail.conqueronline.com
- tqdigital.com
- netdragon.com
Be sure to protect yourself and your accounts from these types of dirty tricks and scams!
