Since its release in 2003, Conquer Online has won a reputation for its vivid Chinese art-style and unique PvP-oriented gaming features. After 6 years' development, CO has been constantly evolving as more and more exciting new features were added. Meanwhile, the TQ team has also noticed many of our loyal players are missing the good old days - as in classic CO 1.0. To express our appreciations to CO's veterans, we launched the Classic CO project which aims to bring back the original taste of Conquer Online.
Based on the community's suggestions, Classic CO will be run with the updated 2.0 style of graphics and features but with certain features removed to return the game to its original roots. The most critical change is that there will be NO Shopping Mall and Battle Power System in the new Classic CO.
The major changes for Classic CO are as follows:
- No Shopping Mall
- No Battle Power System
- No DB Leveling
- No DB Socketing for "non-weapon" gear or the 2nd socket for weapons
- No Talismans
- Toxic Fog is removed from the Ninja skills
- Gems drop rate from monsters increased
- PK is allowed in Twin City.
Mentor System, Nobility System and Clan System will become more cosmetic features with the abolishment of Battle Power. Other than this list, the features and functions in the current CO will be available in the upcoming release.
Initially, 2 Classic CO servers will be opened, hosted in America and Europe respectively. We will consider opening more servers as more community feedback gets evaluated. Currently, Classic CO has entered the testing phase, and it is scheduled to be released at the end of this year.
Note: All current CO 2.0 servers will not be affected by the release of Classic CO.
