As one of the most popular East Asian festivals, Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as Moon Festival, is on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, typically in October in the Gregorian (western) calendar. Mid-Autimn festival is a beautiful and appropriate time to celebrate the abundance of the summer's harvest, when the moon is at its fullest and brightest, pay homage to the Goddess Chang'e and enjoy delicious moon cakes.
