[JTeam] Legendary Archer Tips Part 1- Leveling
Same story, find a "King" and keep hitting it until it dies or it turns white named. There are several kind of "King" monsters in Ape City so experiment with the exp and see how it goes. Once the exp begins to slow down you can head back to Twin City and then to Desert City.
Level 60 to 73
From now on leveling will be a lot
easier, once you reach 60 head back to Twin City.
Buy all equipment up to
your level and get a full inventory of arrows, 5 Ginsengs and a few packs of
Ginsengs.
Now head to the west side of Twin City, you will see a NPC called
"Guild Controller", talk to him teleport inside.
Watch out though! It's a PVP area, means anyone can kill you without
punishment, so my suggestion is that you wait for fly first.
Once inside talk
to one of the 4 conductresses and teleport to each one of them until you find
yourself in an "Ape City" look-a-like area.
Once you arrive there jump
around, if you find monsters with "Alien" in their name you are at the right
spot.
Depending on where you arrive you have to explores the area a bit until
you find monsters called "Alien Apes" or "Senior Snakemen."
Once you found
these, start scattering like a madman and keep jumping around, make sure you
almost never get hit. This takes practice but the less you get hit the more
arrows you can take with you instead of potions so the less you have to restock
on arrows.
Keep doing this until you reach level 73. Why 73? Because you can
use the best arrow packs at that level and you will most certainly need it for
the new area.
It's recommended to farm Bandits in Phoenix Castle for a few days to get your first unique/elite set. This will help your leveling greatly in the long run.
After reaching 70 get your new promotion and enjoy your new skill called
"Advanced Fly".
Wait what? Are you drunk?! We already have fly! Well yes but
instead of waiting for it now, you can use it whenever you want!
All you have
to do is sit after every fly for 10 seconds.
Level 73 to 110
This is where the fast leveling begins,
out of all classes you will level the fastest but before we can level we got to
do something else first.
First of all is, we need to get "Virtue Points", you
need these to enter the Lab and you will earn these by "powerleveling" lower
levels.
How to powerlevel?
Ask any low level if he wants
free exp or make your own low level, team up with your low level and head
to an area like Ape City.
Go to the 2nd Ape City map and start scattering
while your low level follows you, every time he levels you will get Virtue
Points.
Once you reach around 4-6k Virtue Points head back to Twin City (you can check your Virtue Points at Shelby in the market (240,249)).
Now once again stack up on arrows and potions and head to the "lab." You can access this area by talking Simon in Twin City, located at 393.235.
It's a long chat but just keep clicking next. Eventually you will spawn in
Lab. Once in Lab head to the famous "Archer Spot."
Sadly the location of this
spot can't be really explained since there is no mini-map in the laboratorium so
instead, ask a high level archer or your guild to show you the spot. Every
decent guild will gladly show you the spot.
Once arriving there it works quite simple: sit for stamina -> fly ->
scatter the monsters -> fly to safe area and sit again.
Keep doing this
until you run out of arrows. Watch out for the monsters because they will most
likely 1 hit you.
Every time you enter Laboratorium it costs 2k Virtue
Points, with 4-6k you can get atleast level 85-90 before you have to get new
ones.
Keep doing this until level 110.
Level 110 to 117
This is where most archers get stuck
and give up, leveling from level 110 to 117 is often experienced as madness
simply because there are no "great leveling spots" left. Best thing to do at
these levels is to do your daily quests for the free exp balls and meteors, head
back to the Adventure Zone and scatter at Basilisks and do a lot of Online
Training Ground.
Keep equipment updated with your level and push through the hard levels, once you reach 117 you will be happy that you stuck with archer.
Level 117 to 125
It's time head back to the Laboratorium
and head to Floor 4. To get there it's best to look at the forums for maps. You
will need several Tokens to enter the different floors which can be bought at
the market or farmed in the Lab. For more information about this I suggest you
to read the Tip and Hints section
on the official forums.
Suggested is to get a cheap unique/elite archer hat and wear these during your time leveling there instead of earrings, you will need 2328 defense to get hit for 2s or less down there.
Same story as from level 73 to 110, scatter until you run out of arrows and keep restocking. Watch out for PKers again since many people PK you there for the potions you drop while you die.
Level 125 -130
Congratulations on reaching it this far!
Good work! You are now officially ready to start making money in the game at a
high rate.
Sadly leveling from this point isn't that easy anymore, every day
you can do a quest called "Demon Exterminators" in the market (NPC Cloud Saint
located at 206,213) which gives you free exp worth 5 exp balls. Do this
quest every day and head every few days to the "Dis City" quest and you will
reach 130 in a matter of weeks.
Level 130
Congratulations on reaching this high
level!
General Tips
- If you are low on money as a beginner you
can teleport to Bird Island using Conductress and pick up gold there that is
left behind by high level archers farming the area.
- It is
suggested to farm items between the leveling sessions, this is to gather up a
basic unique or elite set. The best spots are Bandits in Phoenix Castle or Apes
in Ape City. Also you will need money to buy the tokens to get to lab floor
4.
- You will notice during leveling that your bow profiëncy doesn't go up,
this can be fixed by putting your character in online training ground while you
are not playing, you can enter this area by talking to Boxer located at 350.335
in Twin City (next to the Guild Controller).
- Whenever your computer is not
on you can put your character in offline Training Ground, you won't get much
experience from it but every bit helps, especially from level 110 to 117.
-
Try to make some high level archer friends, they can help you out with learning
on how to play and grow a good archer.
- Always try to find a decent guild,
especially when you are new and you have to learn all the areas.
- Show
respect to other players, they will respect you too then, most important of all,
do NOT kill steal or steal drops from high levels during farming without
permission, this will get you a lot of enemies easily.
Part 2 "Getting your equipment" soon to come!
