After you equip the Pick Axe and enter one of the Mine Caves, just right click to start mining. It doesn’t cost any HP or MP to mine, but you should always watch out for PKers! Also, you can talk to the Conductress outside Twin City to head directly to the Mine in the Wind Plain. If you want to stop mining, just click on the ground.
There are 5 types of Ore you can find: Iron Ore, Copper Ore, Silver Ore, Gold Ore and Euxenite Ore. The Iron Ore is the cheapest, while the Gold Ore is the most expensive. Except for the Euxenite Ore, each type of Ore has 10 levels.

What are ore and gems for?
Apart from selling the ore and gems, you can use Euxenite in quests. Gold can be used to complete quests. Items can also be socketed with gems.
