I recently had the opportunity to interview Black_Ninja and Joehoe, two of my alliance's strongest enemies on phoenix server. Dick (Black_Ninja) and Susan (Joehoe) are also a couple in real life which I felt would add a interesting twist to the article. Dick was busy at interview time so Susan relayed his answers to me as he yelled them across the room. ^^

PWNICORN: First of all, when did you start playing?

Joehoe: Dick started playing about 6 years ago and I started in November 2007. Actually, Dick is not really sure anymore.

PWNICORN: Haha, he's not sure when he started?

Joehoe: Indeed. Haha, well if it's 6 years ago I can imagine he doesn't know so well anymore.

PWNICORN: That is true. So you're a couple in real life. How long ago did you meet? I'm guessing he got you into the game?

Joehoe: We met in real life, ehm in March 5 years ago and yes he got me into the game. He played a lot and well if he liked it so much I wanted to give it a try.

PWNICORN: Can you talk about your real life careers?

Joehoe: Dick has had his own company for a year, in graphical solutions and design. He is on his own, he has no staff or anything. He develops people's own company cards and paper and everything from the design to press.

PWNICORN: That's impressive!

Joehoe: It is, lol.

PWNICORN: Do you help him with that or do your own thing?

Joehoe: For me, I work at a big health insurance company as a debtors controller. Is that a word? I help Dick just a little bit but I have my own full time job.

PWNICORN: Yes, it's a word. xD You both sound really busy! How do you make time for CO and managing such a big guild?

Joehoe: Well since Dick has his own company he can plan his own time, and sometimes he is less busy and sometimes he is really busy so he hardly plays. Or he just goes to PK for like 5 minutes.

PWNICORN: Ah, you both should come to guild war more often.

Joehoe: Yea well the guild war from yesterday ended at 5 A.M. our time. I don't want to get up for guild war, lol.

PWNICORN: Lol makes sense. So tell me about Joehoe and Black_Ninja, your characters. What are their rebirth paths, levels, and gears?

Joehoe: Black_Ninja is pure fire taoist 130-130-137. He has full +12, -7, 2 sockets super phoenix gems gears, +8 horse, and tower and fan are 2 soc with super gems +12 with -1 damage. Joehoe is trojan - warrior - trojan 130-130-136, all +12, -7, 2 sockets super dragon gems gears including tower and fan (her talismans don't have -1 yet) and +8 horse.

PWNICORN: Not fair. Haha. Do you think you're going to +12 your steeds too?

Joehoe: Yes, but it is gonna take forever lol. Steeds are way too expensive.

PWNICORN: Haha, I agree. How long did it take you both to get such nice gears?

Joehoe: Ehm well everybody asks that but as you know I got +12 in about 2 or 3 weeks and so did Dick. We just saved our asses off and than when we had enough money we just made sure we got our gear as soon as possible.

PWNICORN: Nice. Good financial management, lol.

Joehoe: Hehe. Well yea. =)

PWNICORN: So let's talk about phoenix server now. What is it like to be the main powerful enemies of the strongest alliance?

Joehoe: Haha, we love it! It's great to have a bit of a game and to go out and PK other big characters and to frustrate the alliance. Well, some of them are green with jealousy because of how fast we level and how fast we got our gear. They've been playing forever and we out leveled them. :)

PWNICORN: Yes, I'm jealous also haha. What do you think of the haters or the people who bash you on broadcasts or in world chat?

Joehoe: Hmm, I think they just take it all way too seriously. It's a game which we all love to play so I don't see what's the use of insulting me on personal level. We try to ignore all of it and sometimes when people whisper us crap, we just send a wink or smiley.

PWNICORN: Ah! I feel exactly the same way about haters! So what is your favorite thing about the game and your least favorite?
