I caught up with Angel~, one of the top players on Elements-light server (130/130/132, trojan/warrior/water), and we talked for a bit about the new expansion. Angel~ provided me with some insightful comments about the new game play experience and I'd like to share it with you here:

HorusHawk: Just a couple of things about you, how long have you been playing Conquer?

Angel~: Since March 2005, started in Honor server.

HorusHawk: Do you play any other games?

Angel~: Nope, just this.

HorusHawk: What do you think of the new mount system?

Angel~: Hmm, it's alright. I like the look of them, and the extra battle power.

HorusHawk: How long did it take you to get your mount to this level (+4)?

Angel~: 1 minute lol! I bought it with CPs in shopping mall, 3x +3 steed.

HorusHawk: Hehe. So what did you think the first time you saw your character on the horse?

Angel~: That I'm Gandalf of lord of the rings, seriously!

HorusHawk: Lol. Did you think it added a cooler element to the character, or did you think it looked awkward and uncomfortable?

Angel~: It's cooler.

HorusHawk: Are you happy with your mount now? Or are going to breed it again (and again?) to develop a different color?

Angel~: I don't care about those colors. They have the same stats anyway.

HorusHawk: What do you think of the new clan system?

Angel~: I love it! My battle power is 258, but when I'm in the team of my clan leader I have 288! Lol.

HorusHawk: Wow, that is cool! I'm not in a clan yet, haven't had time to search one out, how do you feel this differs from a guild? Other than the added battle power?

Angel~: It's not really different. Just a smaller group of even stronger people.

HorusHawk: Have you visited the frozen grotto too?

Angel~: Yeah, once. But I don't need to level anymore, so I don't need to go there.

HorusHawk: Do you feel the monsters are too strong, too easy, or just right?

Angel~: For me they were too easy.

HorusHawk: I bet! Have you experienced better than normal drops?

Angel~: Lol, yeah!

HorusHawk: Cool, such as?

Angel~: In my 4 years of playing I have found a lot of dragonballs and stuff, but the grotto has yielded: +1, refined, unique, elite, and even super items, meteors, gems, dragonballs and so on. You name it!

HorusHawk: Sweet, that is some really awesome stuff! Where would you like to see Conquer expand to next?

Angel~: Umm, I'd like to see it unchanged for another year or so, lol. I like it as it is now, no more changes. Well on second thought, maybe stronger monsters, like satan in 2nd reborn quest where you need a team to kill it.

HorusHawk: That's a great suggestion! If you had a vote, what would you like the next character to be? Or would you rather not see a new character? In a poll on the forums, pirate won.

Angel~: I don't want a new class. I'm fine with ninja, but its enough now.

HorusHawk: What do you think of the Conquer Online 1.0 server coming next year?

Angel~: Well I've adjusted to all this new stuff now, I don't want to go back. I want to look into the future, not the past!

HorusHawk: Hehe, very astute observation! Is there anything you'd like to add, or do you think we've covered everything in this interview?

Angel~: Umm, let's see. New guild war map, this one is getting boring. Oh and just us and -PentagraM- ftw! We rule and beast sucks!

HorusHawk: Thanks for taking the time to talk to me! I will send you a link when the article is posted!

Well there you have it. Angel~ definitely has strong opinions on many different game elements. I don't know about you, but I'm going to hurry over to the frozen grotto and see what I can pick up! Sounds like some awesome drops are being had there by all players. Just remember, gallop fast, and keep an eye on your vigor!
