Are you excited to witness what's coming on May 7? We all are! However, before we get to the details of the finalized version of the new skills, we'd like to bring to you the stories of the Hossu, the new auxiliary weapon for the Taoists.
A hossu is a short staff of wood or bamboo with bundled hair or hemp wielded by a Zen Buddhist priest. The hossu is regarded as symbolic of a Zen master's authority to teach and transmit Buddha Dharma to others, and is frequently passed from one master to the next.
The lotus has been a divine symbol in Asian traditions. In Chinese culture Confucian scholar Zhou Dunyi wrote: I love the lotus because while growing from mud, it is unstained. In Buddhist symbolism, the lotus represents purity of the body, speech, and mind as if floating above the muddy waters of attachment and desire. Besides, the lotus is often present in figurative form, representing elegance, beauty, perfection, purity and grace. Not just that, the lotus is the holy weapon for one of the deities.
That being said, to couple a hossu with the symbol of lotus as the new skills is a perfect match. It well serves as the example of how great the Taoism is, and how this expansion will change the landscape of the battle in the CO land.
