All my relationships were bad and cruel

They never could amount up to you

I would turn it all around to have you back

Can't stop these feelings of us breaking apart

We had a forever love

At least that's what we though

It was unbreakable, undeniable,

Nothing was tearing us apart

Then I forgot the reason for me

Loving you so much

Caught up in lustful desires

And not seeing you that much

Caused me to treat you

Wrong and not like you deserved

You were the first boyfriend

That truly loved me for me

You treated me like a lady should be

I thank you for you being you

A friend and a shoulder I could lean on

Who would have thought my best friend,

Could be my everything?

I treated you bad like you didn't exist

But even though I was confused

You knew that I still loved you

You made the right decision

You did what was on your heart

Best friends is what we should be

If it wasn't we would have just fell apart

I loved you then

I'll love you forever

Even if you feel we shouldn't get back together

Thank you for showing me

That I still have a friend

Someone in who I could depend
